☆ Brian was attending Holy Spirit High School when a friend surprisingly signed him up for an audition to Brothers Entertainment. He was then sent to SM Entertainment in Korea. If he hadn't been a singer, he would become a doctor.

About Fly to the Sky:

Pop duo group Fly to the Sky (FTTS), which includes Brian Joo and Fany (Hwan Hee), was created by their producer Soo Man Lee (Creater of S.M. Entertainment) in 1997. He came up with the name predicting that these two would show music lovers that they would go high up in their success. As high as the sky. The group FTTS is mostly R&B oriented and also has minor influences of hip hop and pop music. Brian Joo and Fany (Hwan Hee) both perform vocal parts in their music. Brian Joo, on the other hand, also writes and performs his own rap lyrics.

About Brian's first solo album:

Brian Joo came back as a singer with his first solo album in December 2006. The album incorporates such diverse genres as old pop, soul, and jazz. With this album, Brian hopes to gain more respect as an artist, rather than as a "Fly to the Sky without Fany".

"I just wanted to do it. I also wanted to show that I could (be successful) as Brian", said Brian.

Brian performed his first single, "Kajima" (Don't Go) on Mnet M! Countdown on December 7th. Later on Dec.18th, his first solo album titled The Brian was released. It soon got very good response. We heard a different side of Brian through this album. He has matured into a versatile and soulful singer.
